What are your opening hours?
We are open from 11am every day of the year but one public holiday, Christmas Day.
Can I make a booking?
Yes. The Pav, our casual dining space, takes indoor bookings at these times:
- Monday – Thursday: 11am – 12pm and 5pm – 5:30pm
- Friday – Sunday: 11am – 11:30am
All outdoor tables are kept for walk-in diners due to the weather, and outside these times we're open for walk-ins all day.
Do you have entertainment?
We have our resident DJs from Thursday – Sunday. Please keep an eye on our 'What's On' page and follow us on our socials.
Do you have a door fee?
The Pav often charges a small door fee on busy nights or special events, depending on the entertainment booked, foot traffic out front and/or numbers inside. Our best advice is to get in early before the crowds.
What is your dress code?
The Pav's dress code is smart casual. We may be flexible on this during the day and in quieter periods. However, it is stricter when busy and at night. If in doubt, dress in smart casual attire, or you may be refused.
We are a family friendly and community-oriented venue.
Guests with tattoos are welcome at our venue and we respect the significance of all cultural and religious tattoos.
We treat all guests with tattoos equally and management reserves the right to refuse entry to any person with head, face or neck tattoos. Discretion may be used depending on size and nature. Covering up these tattoos does not allow entry.
Our approach to tattoos is consistent with that of similar licensed venues in Queensland and is in place to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all our guests.
No Singlets – No thongs – No ripped or dirty clothing – No hard capped shoes – No sports team/club wear – No fancy dress up/costumes – No pub crawls – No Bucks or Hens parties.
Management reserves the right to refuse entry generally.
Is The Pav kid friendly?
Yes, during the day. The Pav is very kid friendly Monday to Thursday, and at lunchtime Friday to Sunday.
On weekend evenings and during special events, the venue gets much busier and shifts from relaxed, sit-down dining to a crowded, standing venue. During these times we can't guarantee entry for minors after 5pm.
Management decides on the night, with the duty of care for all minors in mind, and in the evenings this often means minors can't enter. Please respect this decision. It's made to protect your friends and family, and it's our number one priority.
All minors must be accompanied by a parent, or another appropriate adult at management's discretion, with one adult for every three minors.
The Tropic, our restaurant on the same level, is always kid friendly. Depending on the time and day, children may not be able to cross over into The Pav.
Are pets allowed at the venue?
As we're a restaurant, we don't allow animals in the venue. Certified service dogs are welcome.
Do you allow any decorations?
The Pav doesn't allow balloons or confetti onsite. We're right on the ocean, we want to take care of the surrounding environment, and these decorations seem to have a mind of their own.
If you're looking to make your table special, please feel free to bring along florals for the centre of the tables.
Can I bring my own food or beverage?
We are happy for you to bring along a birthday cake for a celebration however no exceptions will be made outside of this. We have a full food and beverage menu available to all customers.
What is the parking like?
There is limited parking available in proximity, most have 3 hours maximum applied. We suggest booking a driving service or ride sharing to our venue.
What is the difference between The Tropic and The Pav?
The Tropic is our à la carte restaurant, with full table service, and we welcome bookings.
The Pav is on the same level and is our casual dining space. We take indoor bookings at set times each day, but we're predominantly a walk-in venue. We have two bars and a relaxed menu including wood-fired pizzas, prawns, burgers and more. We look forward to seeing you soon!
